I was de-cluttering the books in my sleeping room final weekend (KON MARI 4 LIFE) and found my sometime re-create of Kevyn Aucoin's Face Forward, which I've had for eons.

Why did I put a sheet of stickers in this book?

Information technology's an ad I tore out of an upshot of In Style magazine in THE Twelvemonth 2000 because I liked the makeup.

And I know it's from 2000 because when I flipped it over…

Where were yous in Nov 2000? I was violent makeup looks that I liked out of magazines…

Crazy to think that this await was from a impress advert 17 years ago, because it still totally holds up today. That brown lip is definitely back in fashion over again.

And the brows. The brows! It's interesting to me that the creative person decided to keep them relatively thick, because even in the the 2000s, the over-plucked, sparse brow craze of the mid- and late-'90s was still going stiff. This thicker, natural brow is current.

I recall there's something to exist said for archetype, timeless makeup looks like this one, considering fifty-fifty 20 years later, you could nevertheless totally wearable this same look, and it would be completely relevant. I think I'm gonna attempt it this weekend.

And, oh…I'm not a hoarder or annihilation, HAHA!
